Furqan Jabbar

Furqan Jabbar was born in Melbourne, Australia. Upon completing high school in Melbourne he studied Arabic and Islamic studies for one year in Karachi, Pakistan. In 2002, he completed a diploma in Arabic studies at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He then remained in Riyadh where he pursued a degree in Islamic studies specialising in Fiqh & Uṣūl al-Fiqh.
Sheikh Furqan Jabbar has experience working for Islamic research institutes and daʿwah centres. He has worked with Islamic Finance companies in the Middle East where his role included providing research and structuring in Sharīʿah products.
Currently, Sheikh Furqan is studying his Masters degree in Islamic Banking & Finance in Melbourne. He enjoys teaching, translating and gives classes on ʿaqīdah and tawḥīd in his locality. In his free time, he enjoys reading, visiting family and friends and playing table-tennis.
Sheikh Furqan is a contributor to Mercy Mission Australia in the 'Guardians' Qur'an project. He is proficient in English, Arabic & Urdu and AlKauthar is delighted to have him join our instructor team.
