In studying Surat Taha through the classical sources of Ibn Kathir & al-Jalalain along with contemporary analysis, we will delve into many disciplines that range from Theology (‘Aqeedah), Methodology of Conduct (Manhaj), Depictions of the Day of Judgment and the Majesty of Allah, the Story of Adam & temptation contrasted with the struggle of Bani Israel to remain faithful to the Truth, resilience when tested by trial, the triumph of Faith, the danger of heresy, Management & Leadership principles, Ethics and Morality, Islamic Philosophy, The Art of Manliness - Islamic Chivalry and much more.
The Prophet, sala Allahu ‘alihi wasSalam, was sent the Story of Musa AlihisSalam to comfort him at a time of hardship. The scholars have shown that the underlying theme of Surat Taha is that although we are Aware of Allah we at times Forget Allah. There are 10 Ten separate occasions wherein Allah highlights how to recognize this ailment and the processes needed to fix it. The whole surat revolves around the dangers of forgetting our obligations to Allah by choosing to forsake His Guidance. In it is a methodology of Reform that every Muslim needs to learn to improve their spiritual relationship with Allah.

Yahya Ibrahim is Canadian by birth & education, Egyptian through a rich ancestry, Turkish via the blessing of marriage to Songul and Australian by Choice of residence and migration.
Since his early teens Yahya has been talking about Islam to Muslims and non-Muslims. He was blessed with numerous opportunities to meet, translate, study and teach alongside some of the Islamic worlds top scholars.
Yahya Ibrahim began memorizing the Qur’an at the age of 16 and finished 20 months later, receiving an ijazah (certification) in proficiency and an instruction to teach. He began lecturing at the age of 17 and has been involved in the Islamic community since 1993 , alhamdulillah.
Ustadh Yahya is blessed now to be living in Perth, Western Australia with his wife and three wonderful children – Shireen, Omar and Adam. He is a regular lecturer to Muslim and non-Muslim audiences their and around the world. He travels in Australasia, Africa, South East Asia, Europe and Canada to deliver lectures on Islam and Muslims to a variety of audiences.
He is committed to spreading a message to Muslims that empowers them spiritually and helps them integrate into the broader community. He is born in the west, raised in the west and lives in the west. A message of anti-militancy, religious tolerance, and moral universality are a part of his outlook.
Yahya is a registered Teacher and serves the Muslim community at Curtin University and teaches internationally with AlKauthar Institute www.alkauthar.org .

The Docklands Campus is directly opposite Cyprus DLR station. Trains to Beckton via Cyprus and Canning Town usually run at five-to-ten minute intervals.

Bus routes near the Docklands Campus include 101, 173, 262, 300, 366, 376, 474 and N551. A map of these bus routes is also available from TfL.

There is a car park on site which inshallah will be open for students to park in. However, this is also open to all of the public over the weekend, so we are not sure how many spaces will be available.
The surrounding roads are all permit holders and you will get a ticket if you park there. There is parking on roads, however they are about 10 minutes walk from the University.
In the Tafseer of Surah Ta Ha you will learn about -
1. Issues of Islamic creed including Tawheed, Qadar, & The Day Of Judgement.
2. How to call to Allah in the way of the Prophets, using the conduct of Moses as a reference.
3. Life skills including, what makes a leader, who should be followed, differences of opinion, striving for excellence, & prioritising the family.
4. Developing an appreciation of what you have from parents, spouses, children and siblings.
5. Islamic ethics including, the importance of upholding the truth, honesty & personal reform.
6. The way to salvation through learning, putting it into practice, teaching others, being repentant, helping others and remembering Allah.
This course will go through Surah Ta Ha in a practical way that will relate to the issues many of us face. This weekend is full of life lessons and will touch upon many everyday issues throughout in order for us to become more God conscious people.
